Zip Code Map

In our system we capture the zip code of customers.   Is there a map that when I provide the Zip code it would not just Map to the location but would provide me the state and Country that Zip code resides in?

Hi @kdixon5490 ,

Its likely you will need to add more location data into your locations tables, possibly with Lat/Long coordinates to get something accurate because Zip codes are likely not enough of an identifier for a map.

Alternateively you could use the Synoptic Panel by OKViz (custom visual) and fill in a map drawing that has your Zip boundries/shapes set up.  This can be a better option if you want more control.

There's several Pay Sites for this information, but you can also check out a few Data.Wold articles that may give you what you want.  Naturally, once you import a CSV of the info, you can add a Tool Tip hopefully of the information needed.   

I also want to say, I know for sure in GA there's several Zip Codes that spread over multiple counties.  I'm in one of them now, where some websites make me choose a county (for tax purpose) after entering my address.

I don't think PBI or a matter of fact any tool will automatically fill the country code for the zip code through all continents.

Any zipcode can occur for multiple countries and unless you have a mapping table detailing which country to pick you will not gert through this ask.

@kdixon5490 - Well, Filled map will sort of do this, but not entirely certain what you mean.
