i have the following stacked collumn chart :
i want the axis values to remain yearly but to show the values on a quarterly level.
i dont want to drill down because of design issues, it would require the end user to scroll left and right to see the entire visual.

You can use date-year on axis field, date-quarter to legends and amount to value field, then your stacked column chart should summary you records based on year and split your data bar based on quarter.
