So I am under the impression that if you install Power BI Desktop via the Windows Store, that it will keep itself updated.
Does anyone know when that update is pushed to the store, or when I could expect the store to update my client?
HI @jdobrzen,
>>Does anyone know when that update is pushed to the store, or when I could expect the store to update my client?
I also not so sure for accurate push date, normal power bi will upload the stable version to store. So it has huge delay with current version.(for e.g. store version Sep 2017, current version Jan 2018)
If you want to use/test preview features, you need to manually download from power bi site and you will face some issues which caused with new features release and compatibility with old features.

I had to re-install from Microsoft Store today and it appears that it installed the latest update (Jan 2018) with preview features available to enable.
The big sell on installing from the Store is that it will update itself, so I was looking for a ball park of when I could expect the updates to be pushed to my client.
If you have recently started exploring Fabric, we'd love to hear how it's going. Your feedback can help with product improvements.
