Will Play Axis trigger data refresh from SSAS Live connection in PBI Desktop?

Hi,

Is there anyone that have experience with the custom visual "Play Axis" and what effect it will have on a report that uses a live connection to SSAS?

I was thinking about using this as a workaround to get the experience of a "live" dashboard within PBI Desktop.

My question is if the refresh (for the PBI Desktop cache?) will be triggered by the Loop performed by the custom visual?

I appreciate any input or if someone has any experience with other techniques to get the required "live" dashboard within PBI Desktop without manual interaction.

I just tested this while running a Fiddler trace, and I could see traffic resulting from when I changed slicer values, but it never resulted in traffic as the Play Axis looped through.

Too bad it didn't work as I had hoped. I will continue to look for another solution to this requirement.
