When applying RLS (Row Level Security) which table do we apply it to?

Hi All,

I have a report that I am working on. I'm curious, when I create a role for the purpose of creating a Row Level Security do I apply to the filter to a fact table only, dimension table or it depends on the model?.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @HamidBee

It depends on data model

If you have active relationship between DIM table and FACT table and
DIM table should filter FACT table.

If you implemented RLS in DIM table, FACT table automacially filtered by RLS
