What is the implication of Summarization in the Format option of the Column tools

Apologies for a trivial question but what is the implication of various options in the Summarization section of the Column tools? I noticed that if a numeric column was set at `sum` option, the conditional formatting for data lable wouldn't work properly. Thanks

@nemo basically it defines what would be the default aggregation for this field when it is dropped in a visual, for a numeric field it is usually a "sum" but if you change it to something else, it will use that aggregation, and if changed to "don't summarize", it will not aggregate that number field. Let's product id is a number field and aggregation is 'sum" but it doesn't make sense it to aggregate and then you will change it to "don't summarize", so when you use that "product id" column in a visual, it will be just listed, instead getting a sum of that column. I hope it answers your question and makes sense.
