Hello,
I'm interested in producing a WHAT-IF scenario as follows-
I want to check how a change in a certain product(like it's price etc.) affects the total profit/income and so on.
I would like to be able to select the relevant product from a list, and then have the WHAT IF parameter refer to it, and change only that, so I can see the effect of changing it by itself, on the entire profit.
I understood that SELECTEDVALUE should probably be used, but I don't really know how to apply it here.
Thanks.
Hi @RonSarusi
It sounds like you need to create a measure that references the SELECTEDVALUE as a filter within a CALCULATE expression.
So assuming your measure requires something like price x volume, you could use 'what if' * volume within the expression part of CALCULATE. Within the filter part of CALCULATE, you could then use Product = SELECTEDVALUE(Product). If this doesn't quite give you what you need, I think ISFILTERED could also be leveraged to check first if Product is filtered and then apply the calculation.
Hope this helps.
