What if parameter should change sales price

Hello, I'm trying to use a new what if parameter for the first time. Through the modeling, I create a numeric parameter "Factor".

It looks like this: Factor = GENERATESERIES(2, 5, 0.01).

Power BI automatically creates a slicer that also displays all values correctly.

I would now like to calculate a sales price with the field "Factor value = SELECTEDVALUE('Factor'[Factor])".

Productprice comes from the item master.

SalesPrice = 'Product'[price] * factor[factor value]

However, "SalesPrice" is only calculated in the article table if a standard is stored in the parameter.

For example "2". Then product price "5" becomes sales price "10".

However, the selected parameter in the slicer does not change the sales price.

Does the table still have to be connected to the product table? If yes, how?

Thanks in advance for a solution.

Thomas

Hello @ThomasStift ,

the sales price is calculated through the measure you're using, so the price will change where the measure is displayed but it won't change the main data table that is loaded in your data view.

It's solved. It was a problem with the disconnected tabel. I create the measure in the parameter table and then it runs.

Hello Idsrisshatila,
thx for your reply. With the slicer I don't want to put a filter on the table.
My table contains a list of articles and a base price.
I want the base price to show different prices for customer A, B, C with a variable factor depending on how the slicer is set.
I was thinking that "what if" can be used so that the price column adjusts according to the slicer.

BR, Thomas
