I find very large files on the c: drive whenever I refresh a desktop Power Bi report. They all have a naming format similar to 584a2f8a-1c6e-4860-aa40-d863f44973bf.dat. These are filling up my c: drive but I don't understand what purpose they server. Does anyone know why these are created and if there is a method to automatically delete them after the refresh completes?
Where are these located on your C drive? In what directory?
Greg, The .dat files are in the c:\users\powerbirefresh\appdata\local\microsoft\power bi desktop\cache
