My calendar is derived from the date column. I created the rest in the query editor, adding columns from date and time. The problem I am facing is that for whatever reason my company ends the weeks on fridays and saturdays are the next week. Is there a way I can alter this?

While undocumented, I have found that DAX WEEKNUM works just like Excel WEEKNUM. So, in your case you should be able to use:
Column = WEEKNUM([Date],16)
