We want to connect PowerBI to the database hosted on an external server?

The database is available externally via hostname, username and password but limited to IP. Currently, Power BI cannot see our database as I have not whitelisted the PowerBI IP address on the external database. How do I find out the Power BI IP address, so that we can whitelist this on the external database and allow PowerBI to view the data? Remote connections have been enabled?

Is there any other way to connect to the database without credentials?

Please share your experience if possible! How do you have everything set up now? Did everything work stably using ip-whitelist? Have you tried using domains?

With my research, you may try download the Microsoft Azure Datacenter IP list, which is updated weekly or configureto allow outbound connections to FQDN's rather than IP's.

@Deep , if that is power bi desktop, you need get ip of dektop/laptop listed.

yes, It's power bi desktop but how can I get the IP of desktop and how to make it static because IP is dynamic
