Good afternoon, as I mention in the title I have a problem or error with the WEB data source.
General: I'm making a board with quotes from the Argentine market, stock market, stocks, bonds, etc.
I want to take the data from the quotes of different types of stocks, bonds, negotiable bonds, etc. On some of the pages I mention below, it is possible to see these daily historical values.
Yahoo finance:
https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AAPL/history?p=AAPL
This link has the history of Apple's stock, which for some reason gives me an error when loading the table, it cuts in half and I don't know why it is. ( a mistake that if anyone knows why it is they would appreciate it, since it has the annual history but when I upload it to powerBi it cuts to 4 months example )
So I'm using this page:
Rava bursatil:
https://www.rava.com/perfil/aapl_US
This link like the previous one is from Apple and has the history of 1 year as well, this one charges me well (the whole year) unlike Yahoo.
I'm currently using Rava and have 2 drawbacks.
The first is that if you see on the page there is the historical quotes box BUT you can expand it in "see more" however the link does not change but the history is displayed in the same place, therefore I don't know if there is a way to "press" the button and then capture the info. ( First drawback, is there a way to capture the extended historical information? How do I send the "click see more" command to the page?)
Resigning myself a bit to this and having the annual history. The second drawback is as follows.
Making a connection to get the data of 1 action takes approx 20 seconds. 253 rows in a 5-column table.
I was able to do it with 5 actions at the same time, it doesn't take much more than 30 or 40 seconds.
The error is as follows: If I press update and you have to update more than 5 actions, let's say more than 10 actions, you try to screw up but after a while it gives error by time out. I think it's 200 seconds, but even if I increase it to 2400 seconds the result is the same. Could it be that the page is blocked? Is there a way to update in batches? For example, cascade update 5 actions at a time.
Let me clarify that this is all in powerBi Desktop.
Thanks a lot!
Hi @Syndicate_Admin ,
Using the Web to connect to a website to get data is based on HTML elements, so it's hard to get the final data you want all at once, you'll need to transform data yourself, alternatively you could try downloading the .csv file, placing it in OneDrive, and if you need to update it, just re-download it to replace it, I think it's a little more efficient than if you were connecting to the Web.
Hope it helps!

Thank you so much!
Obtaining the data is possible, in fact they are very well armed.
The problem I had the most was that apparently the page took it as a DDoS attack attempt or something similar so it blocked the query ( it's my guess ).
I found the solution. In the configuration part put it to take 3 tables simultaneously. Now I can update successfully 😃.
What I would like to know is if there is a way to "inspect" the page, apparently it lies in the development methods of the web. If the link directs you to "another page", for example, the link = original is :
https://www.rava.com/perfil/aapl_US
And the historical one would be something like:
https://www.rava.com/perfil/aapl_US + "Histo"
It could be done by putting the second link instead of the first. But since the link doesn't change, I don't think you can't.
Does anyone know of any way?
