Assume I have a table and two slicer filter of its x and y axial. When drag my slicer filter, instead of changing the area of my table, I would like to draw a box on the top my table to show the area of my filter. Ideally, the size of the box is also going to change based on the slicer filter as well.
I have changed the interation between the table and its slicers to make the table static. But I am not sure how hard or easy to visualize the filter area and hopefully someone could help me with it.
Sample file is attached for your reference.
Thanks!
Hi @Tianze ,
I think you want to find something like dynamic reference line. However, scatter chart doesn't have this feature yet.
I tried to find custom visual in the market, maybe quadrant chart will meet your requirements partly. If you don't want it, you can come up a new idea about that and add your comments there to improve Power BI and make this feature coming sooner.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Something like dynamic reference/filter line does meet all my requirements. I tried the Quadrant Chart you recomended, but it does really work since the reference line can not be moved.
If we do not have the dynamic reference line feature currently, do we have the ability to draw a dynamic box based on its width and height?
Hi @Tianze ,
I am afraid that Power BI doesn't support dynamic box yet, you could also post this idea in the link above.
