Hi, I want this pie chart to filter the rest of the visualizations on the page (table, graphs, etc...). I can't remember how I have done this in the past and need some help. FYI...I have ensured that the "edit interactions" between all tables/graphs are set to filter. Thank you!
Here is some sample data. Items in our warehouse can be:
Item | Non-Job Allocations | Job Allocations |
C87407 | $0.00 | $0.00 |
C87307 | $2,000.00 | $0.00 |
C87223 | $0.00 | $15,000.00 |
C87213 | $5,000.00 | $2,200.00 |
$7,000.00 | $17,200.00 |
The summing of the items is working correctly in my pie chart. (Sample Pie chart is not to scale)
The next two interactions are not working as I want them to. I have edited the tables to show how I "want to see them". If I click on part of the graph in its current state, the filters are not applied and the data still looks like the sample data table given at the top of this page.
Here is what the visualization pane looks like for the pie chart, if helpful.
@Tmk123 you need to unpivot your data
Transform Data -> Select Item column -> Right click -> Unpivot other columns
It will give you two columns, attribute and value, and rename those as you see fit. Close and apply
Now in the pie chart, use the value column on the values and attribute on the legend and from here everything will work.
