Hello,
I have an important project I am working on. I am building a Power BI report. I have a Pie Chart and a Grid. The pie chart contains all the Products and the time working on these products. When I select a product on the pie chart, the grid populates with only the records that go with that product as it is suppose to do. The problem is when I click on a row in the table grid, the data in the grid repopulates/re-sorts instead of just highlighting the selected row(record). How can I prevent this repoplating of the data in the grid when I select a particular record?
Kind Regards,
Kelly

Hi @Anonymous,
That's the expected results. The highlight status can't be kept all the time. But you can keep the status by using "CTRL" + mouse click. You can give it a try.
Best Regards,

not sure which visual you are using for grid? Are you using table/matrix visual? When you select a row in a table/matrix, expected behaviour is that it will highlight the row in grid and filter the pie chart. Not sure why it repopulating/sorting etc, please provide more details

Hello @parry2k,
I am using the table visual. If I select a product (Product A) on the pie chart, the table then shows all the records for Product A, which it is suppose to do. Then when I select a row in the table grid for one of the records associated with Product A, it repopulates/resorts the table and the table actually becomes faded (greyed out) until I reclick on the pie chart. Any idea what is causing this? I don't want the table to behave like this.
Kind Regards,
Kelly
@Anonymous not sure what is going on. Is it possible to do a screen grab of your action to show what is going on

I reproduced the issue using the AdventureWorksDW2012 database.
In the Picture, I select Product in chart. Table grid shows correct values.
Getting Ready to select record Brittany Price.
After I select record, grid resorts to Aaron Hughes and the whole grid is dimmed out.
