Visual in Focus MODE (full screen)

Hello everyone, I’m experiencing an issue with the formatting of a visual when opening it in Focus Mode. I’ve found references to similar issues in other scenarios, but I’d like to ask if there is ...

    Hi mdm2025

    Power BI does not let you customize formatting specifically for Focus Mode.
    Focus Mode always re-renders the visual with a different aspect ratio, expanded margins, auto-resized axes, different padding and default data-point spacing, which often makes line charts look terrible, exactly like your screenshots.

    This behavior is the same in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service and even embedded reports.

    So your experience is normal, but fixable.

    Create a dedicated “Drill Through” page instead of Focus Mode.

    • Add a new blank report page

    • Copy your line visual to that page

    • Format it exactly how you want

    • Hide the page by right-click -> Hide page

    • Enable Drill-through -> Details

    full-screen clean version with your formatting, not Power BI’s auto-stretch.
