Visual in Focus MODE (full screen)
- 9 months ago
Hi mdm2025
Power BI does not let you customize formatting specifically for Focus Mode.
Focus Mode always re-renders the visual with a different aspect ratio, expanded margins, auto-resized axes, different padding and default data-point spacing, which often makes line charts look terrible, exactly like your screenshots.This behavior is the same in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service and even embedded reports.
So your experience is normal, but fixable.
Create a dedicated “Drill Through” page instead of Focus Mode.
Add a new blank report page
Copy your line visual to that page
Format it exactly how you want
Hide the page by right-click -> Hide page
Enable Drill-through -> Details
full-screen clean version with your formatting, not Power BI’s auto-stretch.

Appreciate your Kudos!!

Hi Jaywant-Thorat,
Thank you for the idea. It's a good workaround for this shortcoming within PowerBI. Unfortunately it won't really be a solution for me because I have multiple vizuals where I would have liked to use FocusMode feature meaning building around 30 separate pages to be assigned as drillthrough so not ideal.
