I am very new to PBI with very limited experience in this world apart from basic Excel formulas. I have searched several variations to my question but was not able to find what i am looking for so i am turning here.
As the title states, i am looking for the ability to show the full contents of a record from a selected datapoint from a visual. Specifically, i have a table that acts as a ticker type visual that list incidents as they come in and would like the ability to click the data point and view the entire record for the selected point that is displayed in a tool tip type display. I have seen examples but they only show the information that is the filtered info already in the visual. i have attached a photo the ticker that is just a filtered table.
What i have in mind is treating the shown datapoint like a hyperlink type deal showing the contents for that specific entry that has several columns that are not shown in the table above.

Hi @fantom71
Maybe you can try tooltips:
First of all, I create a set of sample data, and create a matrix based on it:
Then add a new page as report tooltip page:
Canvas settings > (Type)Tooltip
view > Page view(Actual size)
You can also name the report page so its purpose is clear. Just select the Page Information card in the Format pane, then type the name into the Name field you find there. In the following image the tooltip report name is Tooltip1
Page information > Open the Allow use as tooltip
You can create a visual to show as a tooltip like this:
Back to your report page and select your visual, open the Tooltips in the Format visual pane, and choose Tooltip 1.
When you hover over a data point, the result is as follow:

Thank you for the help. I will give this a try. There are some "cells" that contain narritive and that may be a challenge. I will reply with my results though.
