Variation Date error appears for one user but not another

When I refresh data in Desktop in a report, it works fine.  However, when a new user refreshes the data, they receive this error:  "Column reference to 'field_name' in table 'table1' cannot be used with a variation 'Date' because it does not have any.  OLE DB or ODBC error: internal connection fatal error. Error state: 15. Token: 4."

This is a new user that I have set up to refresh reports. Other reports are refreshing fine for them.  I have had several other users refreshing this report and never had an issue.  Is there some setting that this new user has different from the rest of us?

Thank you.

@tlipkin , that is strange.

You can try.

Home -> Data Transformation -> Data Source Setting -> Clear Permission, try again with credentials

Or check the date format of user system, make sure it is same as your system (windows date format)
