Hello,
I have a folder with about 40 files using the same structure, one per day. When I import in power BI using the excel option the last file, I get all the values correctly put :
But when I use the "folder" feature as data source, at some point I get a few columns with null value when in fact I have values (as shown above). Here is the last day file filtered, you will see that the columns match the one above but I have two columns showing nulls values when they're not null
I was wondering if anyone came across this issue, and how I could fix that.. I tried to change the format of my columns data in text on excel before the import but nothing change, it looks like an issue with the folder data source that doesn't use the same parameter than the xlsx data source..
I want to have all my files combined together and have a big table.
Thank you in advance and have a great day.
Solved! Go to Solution.
It looks like some of your files have different column names (spaces at the end?) so PowerQuery is not able to align them all together.
Once you fix that, they should all come in correctly.

Hi @BiCp81 - It is a common issue with Power BI when combining data from multiple files.Make sure the data types for each column are consistent. You can do this by selecting the columns in Power Query and changing their data types to match.

Hello,
Thank you very much.. I checked the space at the end of the column names but not this..
It works fine now! 🙂
