Using sublevel matrix row as a filter

Hi,

I have quite a specific question for which I can't seem to find an answer, if there is. In my report I use a matrix as a central visual, with several visuals around it that filter along with the matrix. What I would like to achieve is that I can use the sublevel categories (on the rows) as a filter, neglecting the top level it belongs to. So if the matrix looks as follows, I would like to let my user click on the upmost 'Direct' row, so the visuals around it filter on Direct (regardless of the other sublevels). 

It is quite specific and can be done by holding CTRL and selecting both the 'Direct' rows, but this is a bit less intuitive.

@Anonymous, unfortunately, there is no direct way, but you can write measures that ignore top-level categories and just filter on 3rd level category (in this case Direct)

For example:

Measure = CALCULATE ( SUM ( Table[Amount] ), REMOVEFILTERS ( Table[Level1], Table[Level2] ) )

@Anonymous If I understood your question correctly if you click on Direct, you want to ignore top-level categories (Debit/Active and Credit/Active) and show the value of Direct in all other visuals on the same page. I guess currently when you click on Direct under Debit/Active, it filters other visuals for Debit/Active/Direct. Is this correct understanding?

Hi, yes this is exactly correct.

In another visual, I have split everthing out between Debit and Credit and I want to show the amounts linked to Direct (regardless of top level categories) next to eachother. Now, one of the columns is empty because you filter for Debit/Active/Direct.

@Anonymous , You can ignore filter in drill through (drill on different page) , but you can not do the same drill/filter across on the same page
