Using navigation buttons on dashboards
Buttons don't work in the dashboard. The Dashboard feature is meant to be a quick display of data, and honestly I avoid it. I only use the Dashboard feature for Power BI alerts that I can pass to Power Automate and take action.
I build "Dashboard pages" in my reports that can look like a dashboard, but have the full functionality of all reporting tools.
I have the same issue, except navigating between bookmarks on the same page - showing or hiding visualizations depnding on the selection. No page navigation.
edhans is this also not supported? Functionally, this is the same as choosing an item from a slicer but it looks better and is easier. Slicers work on live pages pinned to dashboards, which seems counterintuitive that dashboards are meant to be a quick view of the data. I get it for page navigation, and I also agree about dashbaords. The customer likes using them, so this is what we do.

It doesn't appear so.
I suspect your customer likes dashboards because it is a one stop shop for pages from various reports. I suggest you show them what a Power BI App is for a workspace where you can create an app that they can arrange the reports and pages order, as well as hiding/showing pages you want. Then, the full functionality of the reports exist. I really discourage the use of the "Dashbaord" feature for all but two scenarios:
- Very high level visuals with key info. Never matrixes/tables, things with slicers, etc. Use Reports for that.
- Cards used for Alerts that can be passed off to Power Automate for workflows to kick in. In thse cases, I rarely even show users these dashbaords and do not include them in Power BI Apps.
