Using coordinates in Filled map

Good day

A list of coordinates.

I want to visualize them by using a field map.

In Map, they are working well (data type: text) and shown as bubbles.

But when I trying the coordinates (changed data type to decimals too) with Filled Map, it is not showing.

Is there a way to use Filled map with coordinates? (for example I can manually group the nearby coordinates as a small region/state etc)

Hello @JohnDahis,

Did you try categorizing the column as Latitude & Longitude?
If not, please follow below steps:
1. Go to Column and click on the below dropdown:

 2. Click on the dropdown and select 'Latitude' or 'Longitude' for the respective columns:

I've done the changes accordingly, however it is still not showing. anything else I'm missing?

Can you change the datatype to 'Text', so the summarization doesn't have to be there on the visual as it is now (Sum of lat OR Sum of lon)? and let me know if it worked.

Using Filled Map, it isn't able to locate the co-ordinates because of the following error:


But I tried plotting the same on Map visualization(one with the Globe icon) and I was able to plot it.
