Example: I have 2 tables where I need to filter both at the same time. I have added in the Text filter to just type in and filter both, however you have to put in a field that selects 1 table. This only filters 1 of the tables and the results are blank for the other.
I thought it was a relationship issue as I don't fully understand it except that the same name columns = are related. I have tried every different type of combination to get this to work with the same result.
I have found that people post information about Slicing, but in my case, the wording matters and the slicer wouldn't work as partial search is needed.
Utilizing Text Filter
to be able to filter multiple tables on the same page.
@kerk_03 , better to have a common dimension. and then use a text filter on common dimension

Thank you, but i feel like that is a long complex way to do something so simple. Maybe PowerBi isn't as great of a tool as i thought it to be. I found this a little bit ago and it has me perplexed as to hes having the exact opposite effect as I am and I want to be able to do what he has done. I guess the Tables must match exactly.
