Using Slicer to filter date

I am trying to use a slicer to filter my content by date. I added the slicer visualization and added my date information to the field. The date information comes from a Sharepoint list and has the type "Date and Time." I have seen that I should be able to filter this information by selecting the "downcarrot" and selecting between, relative, etc. However, when I select the downcarrot, the only options that I get are list and dropdown. I installed power BI desktop about 6 weeks ago so I should have the most up to date information. How can I change the filtering options with this?

@Anonymous,

Verify that the data type is Date/time, and not Text.
