We have been using BeX query to connect to Power Bi.However we do see lot of difficulities like its creating memory dumps in the backend which is causing problem. However we have plans to move the data to Azure SQL but currently need a solution for this ? Any limitations while using BeX query with power bi??or any suggestion which can get the data faster?

HI @Anonymous,
If you do not use working in 'live connection' mode (by default live mode has limited to use one instance), power bi desktop not limited to use multiple types of data source to create the report.
Reference links for working with different connection mode:
Use composite models in Power BI Desktop
DirectQuery for Power BI datasets and Azure Analysis Services (preview)
Notice: SQL connector only supports t-SQL query.

Xiaoxin Sheng
