Using Power Automate To Connect To A Dataset In Power BI/Create An Automated Refresh

Hello,

I have a table in Power BI Desktop. I need to set up a flow in Power Automate that connects to this table and creates an Excel file of said table every time the table is refreshed in Power BI. I need to have this Excel file automatically generate into a folder on my desktop.

I can't seem to find any tutorials on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You.

It sounds like you are using Power BI Desktop without a Power BI Service licence ?

Unsusprisingly you can do much with a free license 😀😀😀

However, if you purcahse a PRO or PPU or FABRIC license then you can publish the dataset to the Power BI Service.

Then you can connect Excel to the Power BI Service dataset using Get Data > From Power Platform > From Power Bi

When you update Power BI Service then your Excel sheet in the folder will automatically get the latest data.
