Using Flow to export D365 Data for Power BI and PowerApps

New to Flow, just trying to get some advice on best practices. Basically, I need data from D365 available in Power BI and also for an app from PowerApps.

I've tried connecting Power BI directly to D365 and it takes forever to load data. I don't need realtime data, so it seems a better solution is to export on a nightly basis using Flow and have them saved in SharePoint. Using Power BI, I can connect to the data, create my joins and other transformations on the data using Power Query Editor, then display with the visualizations.

I would also likely connect the PowerApps to the data exports in SharePoint.

Does this sound feasible and logical? Are there better ways to do this?

  • Hi @saturation ,

Have you take a try to achieve the requirement with microsoft flow?

What is the problem when you create the flow?

    Best regards,

No issues, I just want to know if I can accomplish it doing it this way, and to know if there's a better way to do it!
