Using Fixed Decimal Number

I need the thousand separator format for a column that is imported through Power Query.

The column should stay as a number and can be summed.

For this particular use case, I cannot use dax functions or change its format in the model view.

I tried to change its type to Fixed decimal number, and it was rendered in the format of 345,678.00.

Is there any way that I can remove the display of the decimal places?

Many thanks in advance.

Li

Question Follow-up

I have to configure the settings in power query.
The reason is that I load the data to a regular Pivot Table and I am not allowed to configure the format in the model view. If I tried to do so, I would be prompted with a message to the effect that I should use Power Query instead.

Below is the YouTube clip I am following and have this question about:

Hi @Anonymous

select that column and in the Column Tools tab, make the decimal numbers to Zero like the below image:

Thanks but I cannot make the settings in the model view for my use case.

I added the reasons in another post.
