Using Craydec template for gantt chart

Hi @McCow ,@amitchandak , @v-stephen-msft , @v-yingjl

I am using the 'Craydec Timelines' template for creating gantt charts. I have couple of questions in mind and wanted your support in them. You can find the sample workbook (base data) & dashboard here (LINK).

1. Is there a way to bring in some sort of shading or lines to demarcate the rows from each other. At least at a region level if not for all rows.

2. Currently we have region repeated every row, is there a way for it to show up only once for each grouping

3. Also, the sorting is done currently based on the earliest start date for milestones. Is there a way in which we can change the sorting basis to region.

Appreciate your guidance/ inputs on the above.

Hi,

I'm trying to use the same template for my report, but have a problem with colors. Looks like the chart chooses its own colors based on the field's data, is there a way I can pick custom colors for each data point? Currently, I don't see a way to do that. Can you please help?

Thanks,

S

For custom colors you must buy a license. I went with the 1-week trial and works fine even if personalization options are very limited. I think they are no more investing into this tool so I'm not sure about going with the 1-year subscription. On the other side it is the only tool supporting multiple time slot on the same row

Hi, @Anonymous

1. I didn't find a relevant feature, I doubt if this visual object has such a feature, try to add gridlines in the view and set the background transparency to 100% maybe it looks a little better than blank.
2. This can be done in the matrix visual, again I doubt if this visual object has such a feature
3. Select the fields you need to sort, and in the Columns tool in the ribbon above, choose what fields to sort by.

No one knows the visual object better than the developer of the visual object, you can contact them for more details.
