Using Active Directory as data source

Hello dear community,

I am new here an I hope you can help 🙂

I am trying to use our on premise Active Directory as data source for my query.

1) I go to data source

2) choose "active directory"

3) type the domain name

4) select one of the following (group, user and computer) and click on transform data

5) everything looks fine. Except that I have noticed, that a lot of the data is missing.

For example: the group "domain users" has more than 2000 users in AD. When I check the data in Power bi it only has 5 users.

another group of special admin has 16 users in AD and shows only 15 in power bi

I tried it several times and had always the same result. I asked someone else to trey it on his pc and we had the same bed resul.
hope someone is familiar with this issue

if you need more information, please let me know.

I am using the latest version of PowerBI Pro

thanks

regards

Rana
