Hi All,
So we have been using Apps for awhile now and so far so good. But recently we had two separate cases where we granted the user access to the App, but when they then went to get it, it was not being displayed for them at all.
In other words, when they open up the "Get More Apps..." and go to "My Organization", they don't see anything (in this case, ours is the only App available in the organization).
Again, this is only happening to a couple users so far. Everyone else is able to find and get the App as expected.
Wondering if anyone had experienced something similar and had any leads on troubleshooting steps...
Thanks
Hi @GTS_ONE,
1. Were the Apps published to the whole organization or a special group?
2. Does the user have a pro license? Or the App workspace is on premium.
3. Can you check the status of these user accounts in the Office365 center?
4. Are the users the first time to get the App?
Best Regards!
Dale
Hello @v-jiascu-msft
Thanks for your response...
1) This App was published to select users. We typically permission them by using a Distribution List. When these users had trouble, we actually entered them directly into the App permissions by name instead of by DL - but that did not help.
2) Yes, these users have a Pro license.
3) Have not checked the status of the users in O365. But question: wouldn't the fact that they could log into Power BI be a sign that their account is valid and active? Or is there something else that could be "disabled" with their account that would let them log in but then not see the Organization's content?
4) Yes, this would be the first time the users got the App.
Hi @GTS_ONE,
I would suggest you create a support ticket here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/. I can't reproduce it in my side.
Best Regards!
Dale
