Hi ja832153,

If you share a report/dashboard/app with other user, they can not edit your report and can onlt read and reshare contents. So you can share those people you don't want them to edit content with a report/dashboard/app. If you want member to help you edit contents, you can add them to app workspace and approve them edit permission.

In addtion, there's a simple solution for more requirement that you can create a new app workspace(preview) which can let you set role level(Admin, Member, Contributor) as below:

Admins can:

  • Update and delete the workspace.
  • Add/remove people, including other admins.
  • Do everything members can do.

Members can:

  • Add members or others with lower permissions.
  • Publish and update an app.
  • Share an item or share an app.
  • Allow others to reshare items.
  • Do everything contributors can do.

Contributors can:

  • Create, edit, and delete content in the workspace.
  • Publish reports to the workspace, delete content.
  • Can’t give new people access to content; can’t share new content, but can share with someone with whom the workspace, item, or app is already shared.
  • Can’t modify the members of the group.
