Use a slicer to filter a single column in a matrix

I have a slicer on my dashboard that needs to only filter one graph and single column in a matrix. So far I have the slicer's interactions limited to the graph and matrix in question, but I cannot figure out how to limit the interaction in the matrix itself. Is there a dax solution that would create new columns to populate the matrix so that the other three column do not change when the slicer is utilized?

The only column in the matrix visual that should be effected by the slicer is the Exception column. The other three should remain unaffected.

Bonus points if you can also help me figure out how to dynamically change the name of the Exception column to match the selection from the slicer as it changes.

What is your desired output? What did you do to cause this result? What measure was created? I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean.
