Use a filter (/SelectedValue) as paramater input

Hi Guys,


I'm struggling with the following situation. 

• I have an input folder, that contains thousends of excel files (all in the same format).
• I want my power BI file to load only the file that is selected by an user that uses Power BI service (not desktop).
• I can create a filter with all the file names (by connecting to the folder and show the distinct file names, and than i want to use that value (=SELECTEDVALUE) in an other M-Query to open the desired file and use that in visualisations and calculations.
  
  

Is there any way to make this happen? Basically I want user input (slicer/filter) to change the paramaters. 😁

No can do. Dynamic M Query parameters only work for Direct Query connections which yours isn't..
