In Power BI desktop, I am loading in an excel workbook with 12 tabs (month).
Within each tab there is sales data per location and product for 4-4-5 week calendar.
Example Tab 1 is january has 4 weeks, 1 Location could appear 4 times(4weeks) with the same item ordered each week, an item could appear 4 times depending if they ordered it every week that month. Multiple items per location.
My Total for January should total 590,000 (excel), but in Power BI it is Totaling 1,1800,000. Feb and March are accurate April and January are incorrect. I have run it a few times and each time one or more months are incorrect, not consistent.
What am I doing wrong?
Hi, I am appending the data from my excel sheets. The Steps I have done
Get Data
excel Loads each month Tab in Navigator screen
I select January only then Transform data
In editor, I go to applied steps "navigation" right click "delete until end"
then navigation is only source
I right click data and remove other Columns, I expand data and move headers up.
then close and apply . Below January is correct, Feb-April Totals are incorrect. I have done this multiple times to try to figure out what is wrong, and sometimes January is wrong, Feb and Marrch are incorrect and April is correct.
