Hi,
I have a table where I want the values in a specific column to appear in white (since I am using conditional formatting for the background), but the total should remain black.
To get this, I used the "specific column" option to change the text color of that column. But, there's a problem:
I also tried updating the text color of the "Total" separately, but when "Apply to total" is enabled in the "specific column" section, it overrides everything, and changing the "Total" color has no effect.
Any idea how I can fix this? seems to be an easy task but can't seem to find a solution for it.
Thanks for your help!
Hi @hoosha_11 ,
If I understand your query, then try this.
Consider the following table visual.
I go to following Cell Elements under formatting for my "Total Sales" column:
I choose Background color and apply WHITE color to "Values Only".
Further, under formatting, I go to TOTALS section and give a certain background color to total values only:
Final result is:
- Sales column has background as WHITE
- Total row has background as BLUE (you can use black in your case)
Hope this helps.
