Hello to all experts,
I'm using power BI visuals in a power point presentation - my power BI page uses selectable filters for a specific time period. When connecting the complete page into Power Point its possible to interact directly from Power Point with this filter option.
But wehen I'm using a single visual from the Power BI page only, then the filter setting will be kept for Power Point (in my case e. g. Janaury to April 2023) - any updates refer only to the data in this pre-selected period. When I'm updating the filter in my Power BI report from January tp May 2023 - the period is not updated in Power Point (the bookmarkGuid in the link is fixed to the first selected period). For me this would result in the need to update each of the links manually every month or to use complete pages only.
Is there any workaround to conect the selected visual to the time-Filter also for updates in Power Point? Thanks a lot for any ideas which I could try.

Hi @Baerbel
I am a bit late to this post as I never had a requirement to embed PBI visuals in PPT
........ until now
You may have found a solution for this. But in case you haven't you can try and add the filters to the visual on the filter panel. I think this might be a workaround. If there is a more elegant way to do this so that the slicer visuals can filter the ppt objects, then please do share
Hello Idrissshatila,
thanks a lot for your quick response - yes thats what I'm doing currently is to insert thewhole report page and this works fine - but for a presentation I would need only single visuals from this report page and by selecting only one of the 5 visuals I didn't found a possibility to change the page or visual filter - this pre-selection (in my example time period January to April) is "frozen" in the URL for the single visual, while in the page related connection I have the possibility to cjange to time period "January to May" directly in Power Point.
May be ths option still not yet existing and I have to wait for further devolopments allowing more flexibility also on single visual level, but I wanted to make shure, that I didn't missed a setting option or workaround. Anyway, thanks again for all your efforts to help me.

Hello @Baerbel ,
You can now embed the whole report page in Power point, it would be added live and use the filters live in power point.
If I answered your question, please mark my post as solution, Appreciate your Kudos 👍
