I inherited a report that has 8 period tables. Period1...Period8. The source for these 8 tables are 8 Excel files, Perio1.xlsx...Period8.xlsx.
When I update a datasource for 1 table, all 8 datasources are being updated with the exact same value.
How do I change all 8 table sources to 8 different Excel files that have moved out of a former employees profile?
I tried in the Data tab by clicking a table and then clicking Edit Datasource.
I've also clicked the Transform button and edite the datasource there and get the same result. I opened the .pix file... it's not text.
Solved! Go to Solution.
ok, I solved my own problem.
Go to Transform Data, select each table, click Advanced Editor and edit the path to each file.
This method did not turn out to be a game of Whack-A-Mole
