Hi all,
I was searching for something on my c:\ unrelated to the Power BI application for a Passport application we use from our service provider Black Knight. In the search it presented a password.txt file in the list of files that came back. The first thought was, why is there a password file on my c drive
"C:\Users\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop Store App\WebView2Elevated\EBWebView\ZxcvbnData\2.0.0.0\passwords.txt"
and before I deleted it thought I would figure out what it was and why it was on my VPC c:\. The file has some pretty vulgar passwords in it and is located in the folder from the desktop download from the looks to have come from that install. I don’t want it on my space. Why was it installed there with Power BI, and what is its purpose?
Thanks in advance.
Hi @Anonymous , It's to do with checking common passwords, it doesn't appear to be anything to be concerned about. Please see the following links where the topic is discussed in more detail.

Hi @johncolley. thanks for responding but here my concern is I am the only one can see that unknown file but when i checked with others they are not able to see those passwords in their local PC's. May I know what is the reason behind these.
Thanks in advance.
Hi @Anonymous , I have it as well and I suspect anyone else with the Microsoft store version of desktop installed do to. This is not my area of expertise but it is likely to have been included when Power BI started using WebView2 in the installer last year.
