Unable to open PowerBI document

Opening PBD and navigating to a file to open it, works.

Opening a pbix file from file explorer worked last night... but not anymore.Prompt when opening from file explorer

 

Latest version is apparently already installed...

 

 

Now I have tried to reinstall PBD but this has not solve this issue.

Of course I can work by opening them from PBD but the issue remains...

Anyone else facing the same weird snafu?

    Cyrilbrd,

     

    Based on the screenshot you have provided, you install power bi desktop from app store, right? The current pbix file you want to open may be created by the .exe version. So you should download the lastest .exe version here.

    Sorry for the delay.

    The issue was caused by the presence of two (2) different versions of PBD. During one update the previous version has not been over written but merely kept.

    Solution was to delete all PBD and reinstall latest version.

    This solved the issue pertaining to this post.
