Unable to open PowerBI Desktop

It looks like this when I open PowerBI:

Hi, @yiczhang3 

First, you need to make sure that your disk has enough free space. Also confirm that you have the necessary permissions to write to the directory where Power BI is trying to save the file. You may need to run Power BI Desktop as an administrator.

You can also try clearing the cache and temporary files used by Power BI Desktop. You can do this by navigating to the Power BI Desktop directory and deleting the contents in the TempSaves folder.
You can also check the cache size by going to the Options -> Global -> Data Load -> Data Cache Management option.

Hi @yiczhang3,

 

In the below thread it was suggested to download/install Power BI in a different folder as a workaround, that is worth a shot:

Alternatively, you could use a something like Process Monitor to troubleshoot your issue as well:
