Unable to connect Maria DB in power BI desktop although installed latest ODBC Connector

I am getting below error while trying to connect Maria DB in Power BI Desktop.

"the 'driver' property with value '{mariadb odbc 3.1 driver}' doesn't correspond to an installed odbc driver.

All setup is in same system.

Also I tried with latest, old ODBC connectors as well.

Tried solution given on google search too.

Please revert any one who faced same and resolved it.

Hi @Rashmay

Power BI doesn’t recognize the MariaDB ODBC driver even though it’s installed. Usually, it’s down to a mismatch between the version of Power BI (which is 64-bit) and the ODBC driver installed (sometimes 32-bit by mistake).

Here’s what I’d check:

  • Make sure you’ve installed the 64-bit version of the MariaDB ODBC driver (not just the latest).

  • Go to ODBC Data Source Admin (64-bit), and double-check the driver name listed matches what Power BI is calling.

  • If you’ve got both 32-bit and 64-bit versions installed, it can confuse things best to uninstall both, restart, then reinstall just the 64-bit one.

Also, if you’re still getting errors, feel free to share a screenshot of the DSN settings.

Can you successfully create a 64 bit System DSN and test the connection?
