Hi all,
Having built a model using files within a folder on my personal onedrive. The model is linked to the local onedrive files.
In an attempt to switch this to the web URL so i can turn on auto refresh. I am given the error - "We couldn't Authenticate with the credentials provided. Please try again.
This error shows for each of the different options including Basic, Windows, Anonymous etc.
I have tried this over the course of a week, on new models and already in use links. Selected global permissions and deleted connections.
In File > Options > Secuirty, I have enabled "use my default web brower" under Authentication Browser.
I have also tested this with different Root URLS, sharepoint web links.
Am now at a complete loss as to next options. Reading support online a number of comments reference permissions. Upon contacting IT, they didn't know what to look for. I am currently using a trial Power BI Pro license, i an now wondering if that could be the reason for the error? Any help would be really appreciated.
Power Query is punishing you by storing the details of your failed authentication attempts. Clear the credentials and then only use SharePoint Folder connection and reauthenticate with Organizational account only. Any other option will get you right back into the doghouse.
Thank you for looking at this. It's still playing up, if i follow these steps, then the option's that come up don't include organisational account. Is this something you've seen happen before?
Microsoft Account is the same as Organizational account.
