Power bi is great but should add somu GUI bases, similar to what you find in Labwindows CVI or other GUIs.
- Switch (2 or more states)
- horizontal SegmentedControl
- dynamic properties (text, color, action)
- events (onClick → variable change)
- UI global variables
- improved conditional visibility (if user clicks table line, change of color)
- advanced documentation for power users

Thankyou @Mauro89 and @AnkitaaMishra for your responses.
Hi Raphael78,
We appreciate your inquiry on the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum and thank you for sharing your ideas with the community.
As suggested by @AnkitaaMishra, a few features can be implemented in Power BI through workarounds, and for certain capabilities such as event handling and UI variables, the correct course of action, as advised by @AnkitaaMishra and @Mauro89 , is to submit them to the Fabric Ideas forum using the link Fabric Ideas - Microsoft Fabric Community
Should you have any further queries, please feel free to contact the Microsoft Fabric community.
Thank you.
Hi @Raphael78 ,
These are great suggestions. Some of them can already be achieved in Power BI through workarounds, while others would be valuable additions and are best raised as feature ideas.
For example, switches or segmented controls can be simulated using buttons combined with bookmarks or field parameters, allowing users to toggle between views or measures. Similarly, dynamic text and colors can be implemented using DAX measures and conditional formatting.
Hi AnkitaaMishra,
I agree with you that workarounds can be made for solutions in powerbi, for example a togglebutton can be done by using states and 2 buttons one over the other, but there is one thing I didn't succeed and even a friend coulddn't go over it, is how tochange color of a line of a table by clicking on it: it seems easy, but I could not find an answer. Where should I post such questions, Mauro gave me a post for ideas and I thank him, but it's not an idea, but a question .
