I have one dashboard that shows several difference visuals, charts and KPIs.
My data has exact dates on all the values but visuals are shown on either weekly or mothly bases.
I have created a week number slicer where you can pick several weeks and adjust the view accordingly. Put picking all the weeks in given month and switching back to single week is tedious.
I would like to use monthly visuals that refresh when you pick a week from the slicer. Example if you pick week number 2. Some visuals will show weekly data and some will show january data.
What you want to do is to put your two slicers on the page, click one of them and then in the ribbon in the "Visual Tools" section, "Format", click "Edit Interactions". You will see little funnel and ghostbuster icons show up on all of the other visuals. Click the funnel icons to have the slicer filter that visual and the ghostbuster icon to not have it filter that visual.
Unfortunetly having two seperate slicers is even more tedious than just picking apporiate 4 weeks from single week slicer. Using just one week slicer is also more versitale than using both week and month slicer.
Then there're some tricks if the data model are particually in specific relationship as below.
