Trying to get data from 4 datasets that are generated by API

For context, I have developed 4 datasets in total as there is a limit of 200 request per hour for extracting the users who has permission on a report. To centralize the data, I wanted to create one dataset that gets data from these 4 datasets. However, I am having an error message which is "An error occured while loading the model. Verify that the connection information is correct and that you have permissions to access the data source."

I tried clearing permission to the datasource and re logging in credentials and it is still returning an error message.

I did not checked the "Discouraged DirectQuery connections" settings for the 4 datasets.

Any help will be really appreciated. Thank you!

Hi @Anonymous

The following suggestions are for your reference:

  • Ensure that the account used to access the dataset has the necessary permissions. Even if the credentials are re-entered, you need to make sure that the specific account has permission to access all four datasets.
  • You mentioned that you haven't checked “Discouraged DirectQuery connections”, and I think you need to check some of the considerations and limitations of DirectQuery.
