Trouble Entering a new measure into a value

Hi,

I am currently creating a PowerBi dashboard and have already created multiple measures that are working fine on different graphs. I have just made a new measure and PowerBi won't let me drag and drop the measure into the values section of a line chat.

Any ideas as to why this might be happening?

Cheers,

Hi @Anonymous ,

I agree with @Greg_Deckler. It may be caused that the result is not a number. Please drag the measure into a card or a table to check it. And then choose a proper visualization to show it or modify the measure.

If it still doesn't work, please share a few screenshots.  We will understand more clearly.

Best Regards,

@AllisonKennedy @Greg_Deckler  Hi there, having the smae issues as the top. Ive cretaed a quick measure, it displays correct on visual table and when i select a graph Funnel it doesnt allow me to drop into the value. Any idea? the text is displayed in Hours "HH:MM" any help would be much appreciated.........

@AndreFSD It sounds like your measure is Text so can't be displayed in a funnel chart that wants a numeric value.

AndreFSD_0-1669105958913.png

ive use thsi formula to display the average

Average Hours taken =
FORMAT(AVERAGE('Table 1 (Sheet1)'[Hours taken to clear]), "HH:MM")

On a table it displays perfect but how can i get it to display on another chart?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you!

Huh, that doesn't sound right, is your measure returning something other than a number?

Can you please provide some more information. I can't think of why a measure wouldn't be able to go into a value, but if you can provide details we can try to help you out.
