Trouble Creating Chart

Having a bit of difficulty figuring out how to create a chart based on "Facilities used."

Just a bit of background. Imagine you are trying to find out how many days a building (at a fairgrounds) is used throughout the year. I have Dairy Barn, Sheep Barn, and Horse Barn (for example). We have them set up as facility codes (DB, SB, HB). I want to make a chart to say how many days each facility was used using it's facility code (column in excel) and number of use days (another callumn in excel). The number in the "use days" column is a formula based off of start and end date (each have their own particular column). Does anyone have any info on this?

IFC - 3
DCH - 1
BRP, GLB - 2
BRP, WPV, SPV, CHP, IFC, PWY - 14

Here is an example of what I'm talking about. The 3 characters indicate a particular facility, separated by the commas. Each line is a particular event that uses either one or multiple buildings

Any help would be greatly appreciated
