TreeMap vs Stacked Bar
Hi W4LTZ ,
You can create a stacked column chart and sort Y-axis with descending order just as below screenshot.

Stacked Column Chart in Power BI
If the above one can't help you get the expected result, please provide some raw data in your tables (exclude sensitive data) with Text format and your visual settings. It would be helpful to find out the solution. You can refer the following link to share the required info:
How to provide sample data in the Power BI Forum
And It is better if you can share a simplified pbix file. You can refer the following link to upload the file to the community. Thank you.

Thanks for the response v-yiruan-msft.
My issue is not with the sorting of the data in the Stacked Column chart. It's the width of each bar in the x-axis that needs align with a series - in this case the proportion of each group (1, 2, 3, 9 and 10 on the chart in my original post) against their total quantity.
So basically both axes y and x need to be driven by a series. I've managed to replicate it in excel and it was a considerable amount fo work.
The link below explains exactly what i'd like PBI to do:

Again, i appreciate the help. Hopefully this additional info helps.
