Hi, i am a fairly new user to Power BI - when i say fairly new i have used it for a couple of hours so very new. I have got my data and i am trying to manipulate it in the transforming data. I have data for a number of indicators but i have realised that when i go to make my reports i won't know for sure what the data relates to.
The indicators ar named PI1 2018-19, PI1 2019-20 and PI1 2020-21, PI2 2018-19, PI2 2019-20 and PI2 2020-21 and for each of them i have a value of the data. There is no problems here however i also have a rank which gives the position it falls. However these cells are named Rank 2018-19, Rank 2019-20, Rank 2020-21, they don't have a record of the indicator. This is the same for every indicator that i have.
I have split the indicators so i have a cell with just PI1 and another cell with the year. Is it possible to add the indicator name to the rank so i can have Rank PI1, Rank PI2.
I hope this makes sense and you can help.
Hi @thesuggs ,
Sorry for that the information you have provided is not making the problem clear to me.
What's your expected output? Can you please share more detail information to help us clarify your scenario?
Best Regards,
Eyelyn Qin
i have attached of the data before i split - i want the SW1 in front of the Rank. I could use the indicator name, but it's better and then i can select the year just the once 2019-20
